How do I set up two-factor authentication (2FA) for my online accounts?
The Authenticator App by 2Stable helps you add an extra layer of security to your online accounts. When setting up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), most services give you two options to connect your account to an authenticator app: scanning a QR code or entering a secret key manually.
By using either method, the Authenticator App will generate the codes you need to sign in securely.
📷 Scan a QR code: Quickly link your account by scanning the QR code provided by the service or platform.
Best when using two devices (e.g., a computer and phone) or a computer by itself.🖼️ Use a QR code photo or file: Take a screenshot or image of the QR code and select the photo or file on your device.
Best when using a single phone or tablet, where you can’t scan the code directly.🔑 Enter a secret key manually: Copy and paste the secret key provided by the service or platform into the Authenticator App.
Also good when using a single phone or tablet.
ℹ️ Tip: Once your account is linked, the app will generate verification codes automatically whenever you need them, keeping your accounts safe and accessible.
