How do I add the Authenticator App Widget to my iPhone or iPad Home Screen?
The Authenticator App widget gives you quick access to your 2FA codes, right from your Home Screen. This makes logging in even faster, without needing to open the app each time.
To set up the widget:
On your Home Screen, touch and hold an empty area or any widget until the apps begin to jiggle.
Tap Edit in the top-left corner and select Add Widget.
Scroll through the widget options and select the Authenticator App.
Choose your preferred widget size and tap Add Widget.
Once the widget is on your Home Screen, long-press it and select Edit Widget.
Tap Choose to see your available 2FA accounts.
Select the account(s) you want to display in the widget.
Tap an empty space on the screen to finish. Your 2FA codes will now appear in the widget.
🔐 Note on security: The accounts from the Authenticator App widget will be stored in the keychain and will be accessible without entering your password. Please keep in mind that the security of the keychain is managed by the device's OS.
