How do I switch between vaults in the Password Manager?
Already have a vault open and want to switch to another one? If you’ve enabled Sync & Backup on your Password Manager, switching vaults is quick and secure.
❗ Before you begin: Make sure Password Manager has access to iCloud Drive to ensure your current vault is fully synced to iCloud. This ensures all your latest changes are safely backed up before switching.
Steps to switch vaults:
Open the Password Manager.
Go to Settings > Advanced and tap Start Over.
Select Restore Vault when prompted and choose the Vault you want to restore.
Enter the password for that vault.
ℹ️ You have unlimited attempts to enter the password. Make sure there are no typos, passwords are case-sensitive.
🔐 Note on security: For your protection, the app asks for your password first, even if you usually use Face ID or Touch ID. This helps confirm you’re the rightful owner of your data.
