How do I set the Authenticator App to open automatically when I log in on Mac?
You can make sure the Authenticator App launches automatically every time you log in to your Mac. This makes it quicker to access your 2FA codes without needing to open the app manually.
To set it up:
On your Mac, open the Apple menu and go to System Settings.
Click General and then on Login Items & Extensions.
Under Open at Login, click the + (Add) button below the list.
Find and select the Authenticator App in the Applications section.
Click Add to complete.
Your Mac will now open the Authenticator App automatically each time you log in.
ℹ️ You can find more details about setting apps to open at login on Apple’s support site by searching: “Open items automatically when you log in on Mac.”
