How do I set up two-factor authentication (2FA) for my online accounts with the Password Manager?
Setting up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds extra security to your accounts, and with our Password Manager, it’s simple. Here’s how:
Go to your account settings
Log in to the service you want to secure (like Instagram, Facebook, or a crypto platform) and find the Security or Account Settings section.Find the 2FA option
Look for Two-Factor Authentication (sometimes called Two-Step Verification or Two-Step Authentication).Choose the authenticator app option
Select the option to use an authenticator app. A QR code or secret key will be shown.Open our Password Manager
In the app, tap the + icon to add a new account, or open an existing item and tap Edit in the top right.Add the 2FA code
In the “Two-Factor Authentication” section of the item:
– Tap the scan icon to scan the QR code, or
– Manually enter or paste the secret key.Confirm the setup
Save the changes, and a 6-digit code will appear in your Password Manager. Enter that code on the website to complete the setup.Save your backup codes
Most services will give you recovery codes. You can safely store them as a note inside the same item in our app.
Once 2FA is enabled, your Password Manager will generate the codes you need while signing in, adding an extra layer of protection.

We’ve created step-by-step videos and instructions for our Authenticator App by 2Stable users, which can also assist those using our Password Manager. Even if a service isn’t listed, the 2FA setup is generally similar across platforms, making it user-friendly.
